Steps
- After you are completed your printing tasks, take out the cartridge(s).
- Wrap them in plastic wrap. Make sure it is on it tight, so that not much air can get through. It is the air that makes the cartridge dry out.
- Store in a cool, dark place.
- When you are ready to use the cartridge again, just take it out. Be careful, there might be some ink residue on the plastic.
- Place it back in your printer.
Tips
- For an even better way, follow step #1 and then place it in a ziplock bag.
- Brand name plastic wrap works the best, but if you just got store-brand stuff, that will work too.
Warning
- Lexmark may not want you to do this, but it works.
Things You'll Need
